I als bought myself The Annotated Pride and Prejudice (I've read it twice from the library, but since we started reading P& in class, I used it as an excuse to justify buyinh it), The Wit and Humour of Oscar Wilde (handy for memorising quotes to throw at people, lol), and George Carlin's Last Words.

Reading Pride and Prejudice in class is going to suck, because I know for a fact that none of the people in my class know nothing about the era and the language and whatnot, and it's really impossible to "get" the novel if you don't.

We should just use the Annotated edition for our default school copies, because it's great for beginners (I admit I wasn't a beginner to historic manners and language and whatever, but it was still a great little thing to put things into context).

Also, no-one in my class knows what Michaelmas is! Ugh!
